Delicate Arch Trail
OVERVIEW
A popular trail that ends at the iconic Delicate Arch rock formation. There is a small parking lot at the trailhead, which fills up quickly. Additional parking along the road (make sure both tires are on the other side of the white line, and do not park in vegetation). Flooding can be a problem in this area after heavy rains. Vault toilets at the trailhead, no water. This 3 mile out-and-back trail is gravel and packed dirt in the beginning. About halfway in, you ascend a short but steep section of slickrock. The last few hundred meters, the trail is a rock ledge with a dropoff.
Make sure to check out the remnants of the Wolfe Ranch, the first settler in this area, as well as the Indian Petroglyphs near the trailhead.
Elevation Gain: 480 feet (146 meters)
